Great place to eat! Stop here every morning while snowmobiling. Bonnie is very friendly and food is great!
Brisket sandwich was the special today, wasn't bad for not being in Texas.😉 Staff was very friendly and made sure we had everything we needed.
For was really good! The staff was very accommodating to our group!
The Best Breakfast In Town by Far with Totally Awesome Friends... 😊👍🏻
3.5 Stars. This is your typical small town restaurant. As is often the case in a tourist town, it's a little pricey, but the food is reasonable.
Broasted chicken was excellent
Good food and service
This was a super cute and cozy little restaurant that my family and I stumbled upon - and I'm glad we did! All of the food was great, especially the french fries (they were just the right amount of crispy!) and our waitress was super friendly. There are only a couple of restaurants to choose from in the area, so if you're ever in Copper Harbor, defintely stop by this place for a quick bite.
Breakfast and lunch. Chicken was great. Pasty was also excellent.
The Tamarack in Copper Harbor open for breakfast and lunch till 2pm. Big draw seems to be their breakfast buffet. Bob has been wanting to try a Pasty ever since we got up here. I love a colorful side salad....best looking side salad ever! I took a bite of his Pasty.... pretty good!
Great place in Copper Harbor now with new owners, had a fantastic brisket sandwich, owners were very friendly. Great food & service and the place is kept up very well!
Pasties was awesome, fish sandwich was good. But get there early they were closed when we were leaving at 230
Delicious food and a friendly waitstaff. The restaurant sells some cool Copper County memorabilia. Highly recommend.
Wonderful food served by friendly server.
Great restaurant good service and great burgers
Friendliest folks we met on the Keeweenaw Peninsula! Walked in 10 minutes prior to closing unawares and they never said a word and wasn't short with me! Order was in progress when I realized that they were closed. Waitress was old school; talking to us and serving food and drinks, not in a secluded corner on a cell phone. The Broasted Chicken was incredible! Would have enjoyed more time to look at the pictures around the dining room but didn't want to intrude anymore than needed. Very clean restroom and dining area. If I was local, I'd come "early" and often!
The best breakfast I have ever had AMAZING COOK
We had the perfect breakfast. I love these little mom and pop diners.
Food is of acceptable quality, nothing more. Customer service is lacking.
Good food piss poor additude. We arrived before the end of breakfast and we're turned away...
Broasted chicken is best item.
Not bad! A little pricey, but what can you expect for a restaurant in the top of the Kewenaw Peninsula?!?
Certainly an unassuming appearance from the outside, but the food was tremendous. I had the brisket and my wife had the chicken. It's a mom and pop outfit with mama doing the service and papa doing the cooking, so plan for a little extra time....but well worth it!!
Great burgers.
Food was great, staff was very friendly, and we didn't have to wait long!
We technical got kicked out when we walked in to look for a table so we waited outside and they never came to get us for 30 minutes. BAD.
Breakfast was good, would go back.
I thought it was pretty good. I had the brisket, and I thought it was good (but not exceptional). Service was fast, and the waitress was friendly and worked hard to ensure that we were served in a timely manner. It's one of the only restaurants in Copper Harbor, so it's nice that it's good, since there aren't many other options in the area. I would definitely return if I was in Copper Harbor, although I wouldn't go out of my way for it
Good food and hospitality, brisket sandwich is a winner
Decent food for the price
Very good food, with super friendly staff
The service was decent and food was good for the price if your looking for breakfast its a good spot to stop while in copper harbor.
The Tamarack is back-----under new ownership this year---(Ed Koldewey is running it now, with his Dad---Wolf---originally owning it back in the 1990s /the early 2000s). Long story short, the Tamarack is once again a clean, well run restaurant, with excellent food and good service. Highly recommended!
Food was delicious, reasonably priced. A number of items on the menu were unavailable...
Good food & friendly service. This place has some quirks; as mentioned in other reviews there are no substitutions or plate sharing. They take credit cards but charge a 3.99% service fee. And there are no posted hours. But hey...it's Copper Harbor. If you're expecting fine dining go to the Harbor Haus. If you want a hardy breakfast come here.
Fast friendly service. American food done well. Great place for a quick bite. Kids would love this place.
Great service. Reasonable prices. Quality of food (breakfast) was terrific.
Friendly atmosphere good copper harbor clothing
Copper Harbor's most entertaining restaurant to dine at. Staff is always nice. Food is tasty. Drink was never empty. Dine there every time we are in town.
Actually, giving this place 1 star is a gift. My husband and I, along with our grandson, stopped for breakfast here on 6-10-2018. We were seated and given water. As others who have had the same complaint here, I was shocked to read on their menu, "No Substitutions" and "No Sharing of Entrees." I even asked about substituting something for our grandson because I truly couldn't believe this was their policy. The waitress simply said, "No substitutions." The fact of "No Sharing," if you are caught sharing food, the menu states there will be a $3.00 charge! We have done a decent amount of traveling all over the U.S.A., but have NEVER seen a restaurant with so many "rules." Way too many for us. We got up and walked out after a good look at that menu. Just so rude. I will tell everyone I know to stay away from the Tamarack Inn Restaurant in Copper Harbor.
Great brisket and pulled pork sandwiches. Family owned and staffed, friendly. Great job of complying with safety precautions and spacing due to Covid. We felt safe and enjoyed our lunch.
Tamarack’s served our snowmobile group the best smoked beef brisket I ever had and I live in Kansas City where you can find some of the best BBQ in the country. They served it on toasted garlic bread with a spicy BBQ sauce on the side. The owner (chef) and his wife (server) were exceptionally friendly and entertaining. Highly recommend stopping in and giving them your business. Not to mention the beer battered fries and coleslaw where also outstanding!
Good food and service
Clean restaurant with great food and friendly service.
Famous broasted chicken was delicious
Stopped in for a quick bite food was good service was friendly what you would expect for a small town restaurant.
Great service and yummy food!
Service was good, prices were reasonable, friendly and the food was good!If you are in the area its worth a stop.
Food was ok but they have odd hours. Closed from 11 am to 12 pm and close at 3 pm. so be sure and check before you come.
They are great. The people are friendly and they always treat you with respect. I highly recommend stopping here and trying their famous pasty!
